| Summary: This study investigates the preservation process of the Eastern Black Sea Region Urban Districts in the period from 2002 to 2007. The study consists of three main parts. In the first part, the aim of this study and the method to be used is explained. Previous studies on the preservation are given.In the second part, preservation status of the eight urban districts in the Eastern Black Sea Region is determined by making a comparison between two case studies carried out in 2002 and 2007. An evaluation is made by making use of SPSS 12.0 statistical software. In the last part, results obtained by the case study and the statistical evaluation are given and preservation status of the urban districts in the region is determined in the period of five years from 2002 to 2007.
