| Summary: In this study, the interelation between the manufacturing, application and the use of wooden windows of the residences in the city of Trabzon were investigated and the associated were performed. The study is composed of five main headings. The first heading is the introductory part in wich the purpose and the scope of the work, together with the history of wooden windows, the drying processes and the physical and mechanical properties of wood material being used in the manufacturing of wooden windows are pointed out. In addition, interelation between the wall-window frame, the wall-wing and wall-glass with their application are focussed on.Under the second heading of the investigation, the two case relevant to the work are detailed. The first one is based on survey related with the faults in the manufacturing of wooden windows and the second one is associated with analyzing of the application and the use of wooden windows. In the third part of the study, general outcomes of the survey that carried out are illustrated statistically.In the fourth section of the study, the main results of the investigation are interpreted and documented. Under the last heading of the study, some comments pertinent to the investigation are stated out.
