| Summary: In the first chapter, the aim of study is determined, transparency and opacity concepts and their fields of usage are defined, information are given about the field and historical development of these concepts in architecture. In the second chapter, firstly the perception of these concepts in architecture and their types according to this perception are defined. Then definition of the problem, its method and reasons are presented, and finally the classification of building types and questionnaire connected to the study are defined. In the third chapter, the findings and analysis of the questionnaire with SPSS programme according to Crosstabs and Factor Analyzes, Chi-square and Chi-square Homogeneous Tests are examined and presented.In the fourth chapter, the results of research and suggestions for later researches are presented. In the fifth chapter, references are presented. In the sixth chapter, questionnaire, other studies about the building types and appendix finding tables are given.Key Words: Façade, Transparency, Opacity, Perception, Conceptual and Physical Transparency-Opacity
