Summary:

      The aim of design of earthquake resistent buildings are overcome earthquakes. There are some damages in these buildings because of intensity earthquake, but the buildings mustnot collapse.

Suitable calculate model and method must be chosen when buildings are calculated for lateral loads.

      The study of architectural earthquake resistance structure included below chapters;

In the first chapter; importance of matter and effective of earthquake in the life of humans is explained. Then the previous work, explanation of earthquake term and the scope of work is considered.

      In the second chapter; the performance of irregular structure during last earthquakes is explained. Then regular form of earthquake resistance structure is given. Widespread types of structure in Turkiye, damages and forms of damage in masonry, frame and frame with shear wall structures are studied. Especially the failure type of infill and effect of this failure in behaviour of frames and whole structures is considered.

In the third and forth chapters; the conclusions from this study, recommendation and suggestion are given in details.
