      In all the societies where the social, cultural, scientific and political aspects of modernism are felt strongly, many subjects are needed to be investigated as a result of the changing values. The values no longer fashionable and the loss of meaning in various convention and canons lead people and societies into eliminating all the accepted principles essence and the full acceptance of the novel principles. In this context, architecture in general and houses and their funtions in particular, need to be reguestioned. In such a critical context, arthitecture is to requestion many subjects and put forward some essence. In this context again the aim of this thesis is to examine the various conventions fully agreed and applied in the museums which are liable to many novelties and to consumption. Also the aim is to adopt a critical point of view to the fashion design principles and to outline the general picture of the modern concept of museums in terms of both content and arthitecture and to focus on such things related to the assence for this reason, in the second part of this thesis, conventions in general and canons related to the museums in particular, will be reviewed historically and it will be established, in terms of the principles what is more durables and less durable. In the subsequent part of this thesis the changes taking place in the museums will be introduced both visually and verbally and during this introduction, the concepts such as contiunity and fashion will be discussed, as the houses and their functions are formed in line with the current fashion tendencies, in this thesis the relation between fashion and consumption will be explained and in relation with the fashion concepts the design principles of the modern museums will be determined through matching. After presenting the relations, the role of the museums in providing aesthetic with the city will be hightlighted and museum houses will be open to discussion in terms of kitch and city symbol and the positive and negative ontributions of the new approaches to the museums will be further eloborated.
