Summary:

      21th century has been talked about environmental problems which affect all of the world, not its developing technology. These problems such as air, soil, water pollution and climate changes have disrupted rotation of nature and have faced with danger of being destroyed all of the living-unliving environment and human. Human beings have started to discuss these problems and to search solution proposals in recent years. It seems that he has discussed for along times in future, too. One of most arresting problems which have to be discussed their reasons and results are climate changes which are caused by urbanization.

In this study, the role of high/density buildings that are a product of urbanization in climate changes have been tried to be evaluated. Study has been wanted to be made concrete with a selected case study in Rize. In selected area, contribution of high buildings to climate change/being microclimate in city has been examined with wind tests. Thesis has consisted of four chapters;

      In chapter one, being determined of subject and aim of study have been given.

In chapter two, general informations and concepts related to subject have been given; informations related to being determined, introduced of study area and investigation method have been given.
