Summary:

This study comprises eight parts and inquires various settlements of folks who have been using Turkic languages starting from Scythians whom we learn about from cairns to the last era of Ottomans ( 6 B.C. - 19th cen. A.C.) based on the construction materials, construction elements and techniques.

In the first part the aim, content, rationale, field of study, procedures and data analysis of the study are explicated.

In the second part folks speaking Turkic languages, their habitats, the conception of house in Turks and the factors influencing houses were handled.

The third part reveals the excavations which shed light onto the unknown aspects of people speaking Turkic languages, the cairns discovered and the characteristics of Turkish house in the historical process.

The fifth part gives the results.

The sixth part gives some recommendations.

The seventh part includes the tables and the eight part appendixes.
