| Summary: The purpose of this study is to analyse deconstruction philosophy within the context of the discipline of architecture. This study showing that deconstruction can be applied in Islamic architecture and mosque as a case clearly proves that deconstruction already exists in putting forward actions within the evolutionary process of architecture. Deconstruction strategy that can be taken to meaning and the possibility of meaning gets its description through Derrida’s expressions. This study carried out by the identification of what current concepts might be in mosque architecture at large and in a mosque as a case aims to be a new centre of interest not only in architecture but also in Islamic architecture by pointing at the différance created in typology. In fact, the investigation logic of Derrida and deconstruction philosophy facilitates rereading or investigating the traditional structure of architecture and the concepts at the same time.Regarding the purposes identified above, the study consists of five chapters; The General Information, The Achieved Studies, The Findings and The Analysis, The Discussions, The Results and The Proposals. In the General Information, the purpose, scope and method of the study and how the problem will be put forward has been emphasized. In the Achieved Studies, deconstruction philosophy and its connections with related disciplines, selected Derrida concepts and analyses have been conducted as a case study of Shah Faisal Mosque. In the Findings and The Analysis, short results have been given under the concept titles of the case of Shah Faisal Mosque. In the Discussions, it has been emphasized that the findings obtained have been evaluated and formed within the scope of the research. In the Results, special information concerning the analyses and findings carried out has been given; Proposals section, views concerning the scope to which the study can extend in the future have been described.
