| Summary: Traditional houses, which are compatible with the climate and topography of their region, carry ecologic values such as location, form, material, space organization. Tabriz city in Iran is located in a cold and arid region. The traditional buildings in Tabriz, which come until today, have the characteristics of ecologic. With this study Tabriz traditional houses are analyzed in the context of ecologic design principles. The aim is creating a guide for today s house design and the guide is obtained from the ecologic analyses of traditional house. The study consists of four sections; general information, studies, findings and discussion, results.In general Information section; the aim and the scope of the study is expressed. Ecologic design and ecologic design principles are discussed. In studies section; traditional house in Iran that is changed according to different climate types are examined. Tabriz traditional houses that are located in cold and arid region are analyzed in the context of ecologic design principles.In findings and discussion section; the findings obtained from the analyzed designs are evaluated and discussed. In the last section; the results, which are obtained according to the data obtained from analyses and discussions, are discussed in the context of ecologic design principles.Key words: Ecology, Traditional House, Iranian Traditional Architecture | |||||||||||||||||||||
