Summary:

An important part of consumed energy is used by buildings. For this reason, European States

published The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive in 2002. With the same purpose,

Regulation on Energy Performance of Buildings was made and Bep-Tr software was developed in

our country in 2008. The purpose of thesis that contains five main subjects, the results that are

concluded from the thesis and studies on this field are explained in introduction part with literature

research. In the second chapter, two studies are done to support the thesis study. In the first study,

the heating and cooling energy loads of the sample building in five climatic regions according to

different insulation thicknesses are analyzed with The Energy Performance Calculation

Methodology in Buildings (Bep Tr). In the second study, personal interviews are done with

engineers and architects who specialized in Energy Identification Certificate and working for

Trabzon province on the subjects of the usability of Bep Tr program and application of Energy

Identification Certificate. Statistical evaluations of the data that are obtained from the studies are

done in the third chapter. In the fourth chapter, the results of the studies are specified. In the fifth

chapter, suggestions about the usability of Bep-Tr program and application of Energy Identification

Certificate are offered with regard to the data based on analysis study that is done with Bep Tr

program and interviews with the people specialized on Energy Identification Certificate.
