Summary:

Produced by wood of fir and spruce trees under distinct production conditions that are extensively found in Northern Blacksea Region, physical and mechanical characteristics of plywood and LVL panels are analyzed in this study.

Thus, plaques produced from logs that supplied from Maçka, Çayeli and Torul, are done on patterns prepared under related standards.

Bending strength, modulus of elasticity, shear-tensile strength, specific gravity and values of equilibrium moisture content of plywood and LVL panels produced from steamed and unsteamed logs. The interaction between steaming process, the number of layers, glue type, drying temperature of veneer of tree species and regional factors are analyzed.

In conclusion, the interaction between steaming, the number of layers, glue type, drying temperature of veneer of both LVL plaques and plywood, found meaningful on various importance levels as a result of multiple analysis of variance.
