| Summary: The enterprises producing goods and services have been attaching importance to the quality and manufacturing their goods and services based on the customers in recent days, we joined to customs union and have trying to joining The European Union. Standards that were approved for the lower limit of quality have been increasing its importance day by day. Recently, the most important thing to obtain the superiority of enterprises in competition to each other is the people who are trained for the manufacture and product of good quality for sale, and services after the sale. In this study, the enterprises of the furniture industry located in the Organized Industrial Zones, which are becoming widespread and contributing to the employment in Turkey, were investigated the available information of enterprises related to quality and total quality management, and the differences between the enterprises were tried to reveal based on the headings of the administration and quality, quality control, quality and purchasing, quality and serves to the customer, manufacturing systems, quality training and the costs of the quality.As a result, it was found that the most of the enterprises of furniture industry located in the Organized Industrial Zones were the medium scale enterprises manufacturing certain products and their approaches to the quality are conventional. It was determined that there were very few enterprises applying the total quality management, but the philosophy of the total quality management was not settled perfectly The trained personnel and quality costs, which are the important advantage for the competition, have not been taking in to consideration by the enterprises. On the other hand, the behaviors agreeable with the philosophy of the total quality management was observed in the most of enterprise having the conventional quality approach and even these enterprises were found more conscious for some matters than the enterprises applying total quality management.
