| Summary: The usage of within impregnation wood material in the woodworks Industry, which is a branch of Forest Products Industry, increases the lifetime of the material by 2.5 times. Though impregnation procedure is expensive, it enhances the lifetime of the material. Since this procedure increases the first investment cost, it is not usually preferred in our country. By making calculations with the usage period of within impregnation and without impregnation wood material, the adventages of using within impregnation wood material are shown and the usage of this kind of material will be increased.This study has been made on behalf of a touristic establishmend founded in Muğla, which was planning to use wood material in their door and window woodworks. The required numbers were obtained from Yücel Kerestecilik A.Ş. in Muğla on June 98. As a trial material, door and window woodworks were made out of pinus nigra wood. In the study, two projects are compared with each other, consisting of within impregnation and without impregnation woodworks. Both of the projects' costs are calculated during the production, by cost principles per unit quantity (m3). After that, the projects are compared by Today’s Value Method. As a result, the project of within impregnation door and window woodworks has been found to be more economic. Though the first investment cost is more than the without impregnation one, without impregnation project has been found to be more expensive since it required additional investment in the 11th and 21st years. On account of management economics using within impregnation door and window woodworks would be a more profitable investment.
