      People must purchase goods and service to meet their economical, social and cultural needs. So, being used of goods and services by purchasing is called consumption and the people who do this procedure are called consumer.

      Because all people are in the state of consumer, there exist lots of consumer’s behaviour. The grade of people’s need for goods or service, valuations they made before purchasing, the way of acquiring, the way of use the goods and service they got and the attitude after use are called the behaviour of consumer.

      Through human life, one of the inevitable needs for people is furniture. Wood material has mostly prefered because of having material to be easily cultivated, having high resistance and being painted.

      The aim of this study at Center District in Ordu is to determine people’s behaviour about the preference of furniture.

      22 quarters at Center District in Ordu had been chosen as study material.

      The method of questionnaire includes 347 customers.

      Besides the finding related to the use of and furniture preference of consumer’s, the standard of income, education situation, job distribution, age groups, the number of the people living in houses are findings reached.
