Summary:

      In this study, physical, mechanical and fire properties of Oriented Strand Board (OSB) which produced from aspen wood (Populus euroamericana cv.) treated boron compounds (zinc borate and borax) with phenol formaldehyde (PF) and kraft lignin phenol formaldehyde (KLPF) were investigated. Boron analysis was used to determine for quantity of boron in OSB panels which produced from aspen wood treated boron compounds (zinc borate and borax)

Using of boron compounds affected physical and mechanical properties of OSB panels negatively. However, it was determinated that it positively affected decay and fire retardant of OSB panels.

      Properties of OSB panels produced with kraft lignin phenol formaldehyde resin were obtained same results as phenol formaldehyde resin.
