In this assessment, according to the 81 observation stations in each city of Turkey the climate classification has been done and the climate index has been reckoned. The recorded data were used to assess climate indexes for lower levels of geographic regions and current deterioration risk was mapped by ArgCis 9.2 software for Turkey. Eastern Black Sea Region is the riskiest region for wooden materials exposed fair weather conditions in Turkey in terms of decomposition risk in wooden material; province of Rize is found to be the riskiest province and the county of Hopa is found the riskiest count.
