| Summary: Enterprises have to accommodate competitive conditions to continue their living. Enterprises should develop its manufacturing strategies according to condition of today, customer requests and needs to be successful in competitive environment. The use of advanced manufacturing technologies by enterprises is an inevitable necessity for higher quality products, low price, and efficiency. Forest products manufacturing industry has an important place in both exports and employment values in our country s manufacturing industry. This study aims to determine the characteristics, manufacturing strategies, problems and the level of usage of advanced manufacturing technologies in enterprises operating in the field of forest products industry in our country. In this direction, Inegol district of Bursa city where there is intense activity of forest products manufacturing industry is determined as the research area. 108 firms were analyzed in the research. As a result of the research it was determined that most of the enterprises don t have research and development (R&D) unit however is doing R&D work and don not use sufficiently advanced manufacturing technologies.
