Summary: In the general information part of this study; plywood production, adhesives used in plywood production, bark, tannins, formaldehyde emission and adhesion theories are described. Plywood produced in 18 different types in laboratory environment; Bending resistance and flexural modulus tests TS EN 310, tensile-shear resistance tests TS EN 314-1, formaldehyde emission tests were performed according to the standards specified in EN 717-3. Urea formaldehyde was used as adhesive in plywood produced using Scotch pine and spruce veneers. In addition the extracts obtained from hot water extraction of urea formaldehyde adhesive from maritime pine, elm bark and hazelnut husk, acorns obtained from a commercial company were added as tannin filler. 5% and 2.5% of the urea formaldehyde adhesive from the fillers of maritime pine bark extract, hazelnut husk extract and elm bark extract of Scotch pine and spruce plywood by reducing the formaldehyde emission has provided the standard in mechanical strength.
