      Floor covering materials are the base elements in the environment desing. Modern desings and its practice occured by using modern materials in the developed countries have been increased gradually in our country as well. This work has been prepared and chosen in the need of learning practice methods and new products by following the modern technology.,

      In the result of a wide literature searching; hard ground coverings, its description, classification, features used in landscape architecture have been presented in the general content.

      It has been contacted with the firms producing floor covering materials thanks to a questionary study; the problems, projects advisory practise fitting services of the mentioned firms, its reasons are tried to be found out. The data has been appriciated as percentage and compared in the result of the questionary work.
