Summary: The cities, which define as our natural and physical living spaces, have continuously changed and developed in line with the desires and needs of people for centuries. This rapidchange causes the urban open green areas and their immediate surroundings to gain value in terms of economy and ecology. These functions of urban open green spaces, which aim toincrease the quality of life of urban open green spaces, aim to create space in terms of economic value. The planning and management approaches of open green spaces determinedaccording to economic value and user preferences gain value in this respect. The research was carried out to determine the economic value for recreation in468 people in the study area and Travel Cost Method was applied to calculate the economic value. In line with the survey results, the necessary data were obtained and statistical analyzes were made. The semilogarithmic equation was obtained by determining thedependent independent variables in line with the analyzes. The number of visitors as a dependent variable, and as an argument; visitor age, days used, frequency of use, recreationaladequacy of the park, total cost for the park, satisfaction with the cost incurred. As a result of the study, the consumer surplus per capita was determined as 183.65 TL, and thewere developed to develop alternatives in line with holistic planning-management decisions in order to ensure the recreational sustainability of urban open green spaces. |
