Summary:

      In the landscape architecture department, which is based on the concepts of design and

creativity, the course that helps individuals prepare for the education process is the "Basic Design"

      course. The basic design course is very important in order to the development of the creativity of

individuals and achieve the targeted gains. For this reason, the basic design course forms the basis

      of design education, in which information about the creativity process is given in terms of purpose

and scope. Accordingly, this study focused on the effect of the basic design course, which is

      important for design education, on the creativity of individuals and their other courses. In the

literature search that constitutes the research content, primarily the concept of creativity was

      handled, then the creativity process in landscape architecture education was focused on and the

effects of the basic design course on this process were discussed. In the research model that

      constitutes the research content, it is aimed to evaluate the contribution of the basic design course

to students and courses. The quantitative research method was used in the search consisting of two

      stages. In the first stage, the courses that the basic design course contributed to in terms of

creativity were determined by the expert participants. In the second stage, the grade data that the

      students got from the basic design course and the determined courses were presented. The

relationship between the grades has been determined. Then, the survey technique and Likert

      attitude scale were used to evaluate what the students learned from the basic design course.

According to the results of the research, it has been determined that the basic design course has a

      positive contribution to the creativity of individuals and other courses. In this way, it was revealed

that there is a significant relationship in the system formed by the basic design course, creativity

      and other courses.
