Summary:

The sedimentological and paleontological features of Çatak-1 and Çatak-2 stratigraphical sections of Çeşmeler Member were investigated. Sedimentological features show that Çeşmeler Member was deposited in the basin which deepening to the north.

Sedimentological features and faunal content of the Çeşmeler member indicate the depositional setting on a continental slope of a fore-arc basin during the Turonian-Coniacian.
