| Summary: Water and soil characteristics found compatible in this study, due to soil permeability is more higher which was found to increase the concentration of nutrients carried by river waters in the Kaçkar Granitoids Basins. Also, for each of three geological formations, agricultural area and broad leaved forests (red alder, beech etc.) areas were increased the concentration of nutrients carried by river waters, In the opposite pasture and coniferous forests were reduced the concentration of nutrients carried by river waters (without Çatak formation) were determined. Increasing of nutrient concentrations collected water in the dam reservoir will increase eutrophication. So, this will adversely affect water quality.
