| Summary: Bay laurel, which has an important place among non-wood forest products and its 90 % of current production made by Turkey, is under threat of area decrement due to over exploitation In the future, establishment of new plantation areas is also necessary to keep current production level. In recent years, bay laurel has became a popular product thanks to the growing interest of Ministry of Forestry and Environment and private sector as well. It is targeted to remove lack of information about the propagation techniques in order to direct this interest toward correct goals, therefore studies for seedlings both from seeds sowed in pots and vegetative propagation with cuttings have been carried out.It has been tried to determine seedling characteristics of the seeds taken from 8 localities and used three pot types and three media and effects of treatments on these characteristics. In the study which is second part of the thesis, the works have been carried out for rooting of cuttings taken in 11 periods, on four different media and using five doses of IBA and most suitable rooting period determined. And using this period, as an extension of the study, different doses of IBA, IAA, NAA and 2,4 D rooting hormones, vegetative propagation phase with cuttings has been repeated. As a result, it has been tried to determine most suitable period, medium, hormones and doses in vegetative propagation of bay laurel.Keywords: Bay Laurel, Laurus nobilis L., Seedling Growth, Morphological Seedling Characteristics, Vegetative Propagation
