Summary: In this study, the relationship between Edaphic and physiographic factors with Alder stand development were investigated in provinces of Artvin (Arhavi), Trabzon (Akcaabat) and Giresun (Espiye). Sample areas were selected randomly from research areas and Edaphic and physiographic factors has been identified for each sample plot.
Soil texture, pH, field capacity, clay (%), silt (%), sand (%), soil organic matter were analyzed and determined values of the top height at 50 year old according to General Analitical Difference Approach (GADA) and Classical Bonitet Index. Additionally, Statistical analyzes has been determined between soil properties and site factors for the top height at 50 year old of each sample area. According to this, In Arhaviregion, a negative correlation between productivity with elevation and the amount of silt percent of the land; positive correlation between the amount of sand per cent ofthe land. On the other hand, a negative correlation between productivity with elevationand the amount of sand percent of the land and positive correlation between soil field capacity, the amount of clay and silt percent of the land in Espiye region.
