Summary:

Ulmus minor Miller subsp. minor seeds which were collected from four different origins located in the Karadeniz Technical Univeristy campus were used as a material in this study. Seeds have been subjected to germination at two different times in the air conditioning cabinet (May 3, December 14).

In the first germination test, the highest germination percentage was found as 91.0% in the number 2 tree. In the second germination test, the highest germination percentage was determined as 57.7% in the number 1 tree.

In the nursery studies, three different growing media peat, forest soil and mixed soil (forest soil + peat, 1:1) were used. The effects of these different growing media on seedlings size (SS) and number of side shoots (SS) were investigated. The highest seedlings size was obtained as 8,05 cm in the mixed soil and number 4 tree. The highest number of side shoots was determined as 4,23 in mixed media and number 4 tree.
